Re: final POTUS poll
Hi David, Actually, that district in Maine is not needed by the Democrats to get to 270 with WI, MI, & NV. The 270 estimate includes that district going to the Republicans. I think you're right, I just put the colors in and it would still be 270 for Biden. https://www.270towin.com/maps/br9xQ.png

Re: final POTUS poll
OMG! Wait a second! https://www.foxnews.com/elections/2020/general-results I just noticed one of the districts in Maine is not counted yet and I think it's a rural district, which could go to Trump (Maine is one of two states that is not winner take all). And that means it will be a 269-269 tie, whi...

Re: final POTUS poll
7 states have not been called yet. Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Alaska, Nevada. Trump is leading in Alaska, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania. Biden is leading in Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada. If those leads hold out and they win those states, the final electoral vo...

Re: final POTUS poll
My final prediction:

A 269-269 tie. This way if either candidate gets 270+ I'll only be "half" wrong.
This is one of the few elections, I'm really not sure who will win. It should be interesting tonight.

Let's skip the Civil War
Bill Maher's New Rule this week: Let's skip the Civil War https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-63oAcaZG8 Usually Maher is too leftist for me, but he's mostly a centrist, so I agree with him on many things. Here he is making sense about how violence and stealing is wrong. And like he says, is that reall...

Re: final POTUS poll
I see you've got Nevada as a very light shade of blue. Do you see workers in the tourism and hospitality sector being in favour of Trump, in light of his clearly stated preference for opening up, over extended lockdowns? Has that been factored into your thinking? :geek: :candle: Mostly, yes, they w...

Re: final POTUS poll
Only about 7 days to go!!! My final prediction is: I don't know. This is a strange race. You have a political insider, 47 years in politics against an outsider with fervent supporters, but is it enough to crack 50%? Polls showing Biden is ahead, but Trump beat the polls in 2016. Trump is getting lar...

Re: US presidential debates 2020
Biden said 38,000 prisoners were released, which is true, the number of prisoners held was less because new prisoners were added so the number went down by only 12,000. But were those prisoners released due to presidential orders or was their sentence just finished? Federal prisons release prisoner...

Sudan-Israel relations agreed, Donald Trump announces https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-54554286 Another diplomatic achievement of Mr. Trump That's good, but I'm still waiting for the Big One. The peace deal between Israel & Palestine. If he can do that, then he should definitely get ...

Another good video from Nuseir today, about the double-standard many people have regarding meat consumption.

Re: Aljazeera vs. Nas Daily
Qatar based news take on the story: Just ‘a piece of land’ Despite denying claims his content is linked to politics, Yassin’s videos have glorified Israel on many occasions, opting to show its “successes” while hiding its continuous violation of human rights against Palestinians. In a one-minute exp...

Re: Gun Rights protect Gay Rights
Thoughts on gun rights? Personally I think gun rights help to protect other rights. For example, gun rights can help to defend gay rights. In the U.S. guns are everywhere, around 393 million firearms for a population of 330 million, the highest per capita at more than one per person. In the UK, I d...

The last time California went Red (Republican) was in 1988.

George H. W. Bush (41) won and prior to that he was the VP under Reagan. And Reagan was from California.

Government Bolivia has had more than 190 revolutions and coups since it became independent in 1825. The latest constitution was adopted in 1967 and revised in 1994. Re: Has Military Tech Stopped Advancing?
Lockdown made it worse in my opinion. Just imagine the people live in highrise buildings. They are almost prisoners. I guess they'll get lots of exercise (taking the stairs)! :D Some of the newer, fancier high rises have back up gas or diesel generators. And then that will power the elevators. I th...
