Re: Has Military Tech Stopped Advancing?
Bundokji, I agree with you. You sound around my age. I remember growing up and playing with the neighborhood kids with soccer, baseball, football and other outdoor activities. Now kids are just fixated on their electronic devices, rarely getting outside. The internet and technology is a good thing, ...

Re: Will Trump win in California?
I agree with B. In spite of all the homelessness and other problems, it is very dark blue. Even if a big scandal broke out or if the current one got more traction, I think Trump will still lose California.

Re: Has Military Tech Stopped Advancing?
I was thinking military drones might be a recent "advancement" but apparently that has been around for some time too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_unmanned_combat_aerial_vehicles Digital warfare sounds like it could be quite devastating, for example if one side shuts the power to a whole...

Reporting that the WHO has reversed their opinion is not the same as endorsing or approving of the WHO.lyndon taylor wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 10:18 pm you didn't read the thread did you, conservatives taking the WHO seriously when it suits their agenda

Re: Breaking news! WHO now against lockdowns
The state of Victoria in Australia has had an almost complete success form total lockdown, from 700 cases a day to a now average of 10 cases a day, Australia continues to have one of the lowest covid infection rates in the world and lockdowns were what made it possible, now of course if you're like...

final POTUS poll
Only 20 days until the election for POTUS. Time for a final poll. Who do you think will win? This is not about who you want to win, but rather who you think will actually win. So no third party candidates listed on this one.

Re: Abortion & Ahimsa
I cannot highlight enough how important it is that all who can vote, go and do so in time and clean manner so that they have nothing to grasp at to nullify the vote. 20 years ago, the monster named Bush, pushed a lot of people who were in the same position as I was, out of the country because they,...

I may have posted this in another thread previously that Taiwan has the fewest number of deaths per 100,000 population of all nations and it never did a lockdown.

Re: Breaking news! WHO now against lockdowns
It's a shame so many of the ways for dealing with it became politicized. Something like: Wearing mask = liberal Not wearing = conservative For lockdowns = liberal Against = conservative For using experimental drugs = conservative Against = liberal I'm generalizing of course as there are some overlap...

Re: Definition of Justice
There is karma, in biblical terms it's the same as " you reap what you sow ." And then there is also compassion, just because someone may be in dire straits, it's not up to us to speculate and we have compassion on their suffering. So we do what we can and what is appropriate. In terms of putting ju...

Trump heads out of Walter Reed hospital, but apparently not going back to the White House yet. He went out to drive by and wave to his supporters.

Is this similar to a fake marriage in Las Vegas? The quickie marriages in Las Vegas are real. A lot of people come to Vegas to get married because it is so fast. There are even drive-through marriages. And they are real, legally binding. Just ask some celebrities like Dennis Rodman; who got married...

Re: cultural appropriation vs. cultural appreciation
I like to know more about the fake wedding? Is this a tourist attraction? Is this similar to a fake marriage in Las Vegas? The problem in the video is not the Arab man getting married to an Indian woman. But mocking a very important cultural event. How is it mocking? He is honoring it and celebrati...
